It scrolls a script over the front camera while recording you, so you can read a piece to camera on one phone. You keep a library of scripts, set a reading speed, and read.
Does pausing stop the recording? No. Pausing stops the words moving; the take keeps rolling. That is deliberate โ you can lose your place mid-sentence, collect yourself, and carry on without starting over. The same is true at the end: when the script runs out the recording continues until you stop it.
Can I use it without the camera? No. The camera is always the background and camera permission is required to reach the prompter. There is no text-only rehearsal mode.
Where do my recordings go? They stay in the app, on the Recordings tab, grouped under the script they came from. Nothing is saved to Photos unless you tap Save to Photos on that take.
Can I change the speed or text size? Yes, from the prompter itself โ five reading speeds from 110 to 190 words a minute, and four text sizes. Both settings are global rather than per script.
Does it follow my voice? No. The scroll is a timer. If you ad-lib, it keeps going. Pause it if you need to.
Is there an Android version? No, and there is no iPad layout or landscape mode. Portrait iPhone only.
Does it need an internet connection? No. The app makes no network requests at all. It works in Airplane Mode.
